About Us
Philippine Bible Seminary (PBS) was founded in 1958 by Mr. and Mrs. Norval Campbell in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, with the vision of providing accessible theological education to future church leaders in the Ilocos region. Recognizing the challenges of long-distance travel and the high cost of seminary training, the Campbells established PBS to serve local students and equip them for ministry.
Since its founding, PBS has grown into a vital institution that trains men and women to spread the gospel, plant churches, and lead with faith and integrity. Over the years, PBS has expanded its facilities, introduced new programs, and strengthened its partnerships with local ministers’ associations to further its mission.
At Philippine Bible Seminary, we are committed to providing a transformative educational experience that integrates faith and learning. Our courses are designed to equip students with both academic knowledge and a deep, personal understanding of Christian values. From Biblical studies to ministry, leadership, and beyond, we offer a diverse range of programs that empower students to grow in their faith, serve others, and make a lasting impact in their communities and the world.
Today, PBS offers programs such as the Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Christian Education, Associate in Christian Ministry, and Associate in Church Music. With God’s grace and the support of our faithful partners, PBS continues to be a beacon of hope and training for the next generation of Christian leaders.
